Goodbye: My Last Post

Now, readers, I must say farewell: this is going to be my last blog post. I hope all of you enjoyed "Note What Follows: The Life and Times of a Colon" as much as I did writing it. My feelings about writing are summed up by these words from the brilliant F. Scott Fitzgerald: 

The reason one writes isn't the fact he wants to say something. He writes because he has something to say.

With the writing of this blog, I have accomplished just what I have to say. I know you all have learned something because of this blog, and that brings me great joy. It is 6:52 p.m., and I, Colon, am signing off.
